How to choose the perfect little black dress
It’s a wardrobe essential for every woman to own a black dress. Going for a date, a dinner party, a night out with pals or for a formal or semi-formal occasion, that black dress can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Finding that black dress is not going to be that easy, because everybody in the world is different, so finding that perfect fit will be some hard work. These tips should definitely help you though so don’t panic. I will help you with tips on how to select a perfect black dress for your body shape.

For a Woman with flabby arms or bingo wings
Choose dresses with half or three-quarter length sleeves or wear a shrug, so that your bingo wings are hidden and you are not self-conscious. For hiding the upper arm you should use a little pinched fabric on shoulder with some ruffly fabric, but you definitely should avoid big puffy sleeves.
For a Woman with thick neck
V-neck black dress helps to divert attention away from the neck and elongates the neckline. If you feel you have a chunky neck this can make all the difference.
For a Woman with broad shoulders
Again use V-neck or scoop-necks to detract from the shoulders and draw attention down and away from the width of the shoulders. Avoid strapless styles and spaghetti straps as these tend to highlight the shoulder area.
For a Woman with narrow or sloped shoulders
A boatneck or straight-across bateau will give you a wider look.
For a Woman with big bust
Boatneck or bateau will work fine as they draw eyes up, instead of towards the cleavage.
V-necks will also work well but should be worn with caution check where the V widens and ensure it flatters you rather than making it look as though you will pop out! Also opt for thin fabric, as you can’t afford to add more bulk.
For a Woman with no chest
Use a simple padded bra to help add some shape if this would help your confidence. If you have a semi-flat chest and feel like there is very little there you should try a round neck or sleeveless. these are perfect as they draw attention towards shoulders. I would also recommend a short bolero jacket.
For a Woman with a bit of a tummy or who feels self-conscious of her tummy
To hide any rolls you can use ruched fabrics, but avoid clingy ones this will detract from the bumps dramatically. The empire waist can be perfect, as it flares from high on the waist and hides the tummy well.
Using a body-shaper will not do any harm but could be uncomfortable so if you can avoid it I would recommend choosing a dress where you do not need one.
For a Woman with a long waist
Use a wide belt to break up that torso and stop it from looking like you have no shape. Eyes will be drawn to the belt as a stunning feature rather than a long waist.
For a Woman with a short waist
Try a ribbon or narrow belt, will help with elongating your waist or miss off a belt completely. Draw attention to other areas with accessories and carry a stylish bag.
