Health and beauty things to remember when you move house
This is a collaborative post
When you move house it is easy to get bogged down with all the boring stuff like packing and changing the address on your utility bills and as such stop taking care of yourself but please remember to think of yourself too. Here are some health and beauty things you should consider when moving house that you may have forgotten about!

Don’t try and do everything yourself
It is easy to want to save money and move everything yourself but this isn’t good for your physical or mental health. Instead, I would advise that you take a look at everything that needs doing and work out what you can reasonably do and the things you can not. It is easy to find a cheap man and a van hire and this can make all the difference to your move. Someone else will be doing all the lifting and you can concentrate on the packing and unpacking.
Remember your skin
All the moving of boxes and constantly being busy will take its toll on your skin, particularly your hands. Be sure to keep your moisturiser out and keep it with soap until you move so that you can keep those hands moisturised too.
Cancel subscriptions and change addresses
Do you have any beauty subscriptions or even an online pharmacy for your regular medication? These need changing in plenty of time to ensure nothing goes to the incorrect address. Be sure to also set up a mail redirect at the same time.
Do you have a regular hairdresser, masseuse, nail technician or similar? Be sure to change their files with your new address as well as those for the doctor, hospital, dentist and any other specialists you may have.
If you have children remember to also change their addresses with the school nurse, health visitor, midwife etc as well as any doctors and specialists. It is common that they need to change yours and your children’s separately so it won’t be enough to simply change your own!
Packing your skincare and beauty products
Pack a towel and face cloth with your beauty products to ensure that minimal mess is made if anything leaks and also so that you have those available to have a wash, brush your teeth and even put makeup on as soon as you wish to when you have moved. Using tape to keep any lids on can make a huge difference too and stop unwanted leaks.
